On Blogging

My biggest failure as a writer is my lack of discipline.  I never have a shortage of topics on which to write, or a shortage of opinions to share.  What I lack is the connection between wanting to do it and actually doing it.  So I’ve networked my blog in hopes it will guilt me into writing it regularly.

That’s where you come in.  If I can get 25 followers to this blog, I will commit to writing something at least twice a week, every week, barring being out of town.  Sometimes it will be worth reading, other times not, and I’m especially terrible about removing spam comments, so be aware that there are LOTS of those.  Every once in awhile I remove a couple hundred, but generally they go unchecked.  I’m told that if one has a lot of comments it improves the market status of said blog, so I tend to leave the ones that are not outright selling something or nonsensical.

By way of an update, I have several active cases that I am working, and two are cryptozoological in nature.  I’m consulting on a third crypto case, this one in Manitoba, and have just turned down my third series this year. If they were looking to cast for a consultant I likely would have taken it, but they wanted an “on camera expert” and I’ve grown very cynical about that sort of work.  The show will have to seriously impress me before I agree to that. Three speaking engagements, a Conference, and a booth at an event are already scheduled through to November 1 and it’s only April.  A week long genealogy conference is coming up at the end of June in the Philadelphia and I’m hoping to release my newest book, “Paraforensics” on October 1.

So there you have it.  “Follow” this blog and make me write more!
