The New Car
As many of you know, I totalled our 2000 Camry enroute to Louisville last May. Since then we have been driving our old 84 Camry and trying to decide on a new car. Doug's parents graciously kept the 84 alive for several months, allowing us to make it through to now. This helped us save a little extra toward the downpayment, pay off another loan so we can afford car payments, and generally give us a chance for a long goodbye to an old friend.
Well tomorrow the old brown friend leaves our family. He's been awfully good to us. DIdn't even complain when we covered him in Purple Duct Tape. His windshield was cracked, his emergency brake is broken. There's rust everywhere and I fully expect the floor to fall out any second. He'll be put out of his misery I assume, although the salesmen want to build a hall of fame for him. They're actually giving us $1000 in trade in.
John David is quite upset. He gets to ride in the front seat of the "old car" because it has a lap belt and no airbags. This means that if we go anywhere as a family I get to sit in the back. Now he will be back in the back seat again. He's less than thrilled.
We narrowed our search to two vehicles. One was a 2009 Toyota Carolla with very few features. But it was a Toyota so it likely would last a long time. A long time without any features. The other was a 2008 Pontiac G5. TONS of features, 0% financing, and about ten thousand dollars cheaper overall. We went with the G5.
I looked at both cars. I picked the blue one. Choosing a car is not intensive for me. If it runs and isn't an horrible color, Im good.
We pick it up at 6pm tomorrow.

You gave nice ideas here. I done a research on the issue and learn most peoples will agree with your blog. Certainly, these practices are unfair; but they say that most of their rules are only to apply to people who overdraw.

For most of the customers, purchasing a car is one time investment, and as it is a big investment prices play an important role before purchasing a car.
