I'm Cheap

I learned about grocery shopping with coupons practically from birth.  My mom can squeeze a penny until it screams.  I'm not that good, but I do enjoy getting a few cents off with a decent coupon.

The internet has really enhanced this experience.  I still grab them from the fliers and newspapers, or sometimes off the store shelf.  But I recently found a website where you can choose and print your own coupons.  Penny Pincher Gazzette is very user friendly and sometimes has some really good deals.  It has lots more than that though.

Penny Pincher Gazzette has online articles about cooking; even some new recipes that I had not seen before.  I am an avid recipe collector so this was quite appealing to me.   Some of the articles are on things like healthy eating or coming up with new ideas.  There is a whole section of recipes and linked to the recipes are coupons for some of the ingredients.  You can try something new and save money at the same time!

The downside is that right now it is just for the US.  I'm hoping there will be a Canadian version soon but in the meantime, since most of my family lives in the US and we travel there a lot I still use some of the coupons and pass along tips to my family.  I put my dad's zip code in the search box for the "circulars" tab and it came back with ten options for local circulars.  I chose five of the ten to browse.  The site gave me a list of sale items, with the location and the price, as well as a link to any coupons for the item I could download and print.  In some cases the item ended up costing just pennies!

You do need to sign up and log in to use the coupon section.  Sign up is free and very easy.  When I logged in it immediately gave me 8 pages of coupons for everything from tax preparation to Bisquick.  There is a second section of coupons called SmartSource Coupons that had an addition 80+ coupons to download and print.  This is one of the best sites for Online Grocery Coupons that I have ever seen.  Check it out for yourself at www.ppgazette.com and tell all your friends.  This could save you a ton of money!
