Burn Notice
On June 28 there's a new show coming out called "Burn Notice" and the premise is that a CIA opperative gets fired. So I'm going to get creative--here's my take on how he gets fired...
Michael Weston worked hard all his life. He did time in burger joints as a kid, then hauled garbage for a bit. Finally after a stint in the Corps and four years of college he landed his dream job. He joined the CIA. For six years he did nothing but typing and filing. He handled reports that those more experienced operatives dropped in a stack on his desk. His tall, lanky frame spent most of its time hunched at the computer banging away other people's excitement.
Over the years, one name kept popping up. Bonita McFarland seemed to be involved in just about everything that crossed his desk. She haunted his dreams and kept him pre-occupied in his off time. He'd done internet searches and looked through phone books, but never found Bonita.
In his seventh year, he got a break. He was partnered with a woman for standard field work. Finally he was dropping reports on someone else's desk. Even though he now was allowed to work undercover from time to time, he still felt unsatisfied. He also still obsessed about Bonita McFarland.
On the job, he learned. He made contacts and he developed trusted informant networks. Three years later he was at the top of his game and had finally kicked his Bonita habit. In fact, he hadn't thought of her in almost a year. Then while sitting under a fire escape, dressed as a homeless man and keeping an eye on a pair of young suspected terrorists, he saw a pair of legs that made his heart stop. Topping those legs was a body to die for and the most gorgeous mane of red hair he had ever seen.
The job had him in this spot for several days, and for several days he watched the crimson beauty walk up and down the street working her trade. He had to think of a way to meet her, to get to know her. He couldn't break cover, but he knew he had to find a way to meet her. Finally the chance came when his subjects stopped to speak with her on the street. The three of them, under Weston's watchful eye, spoke at length. Money changed hands and the woman was given a slip of paper.
When the subjects had gone, Weston rose up from the garbage bins and motioned her over. She looked away, but he walked over to her and asked her name. The look of disgust nearly killed him, but he took her by the arm anyway. She resisted, but he needed information from her so he half dragged her over against the alley wall.
"What do you want?" she said.
"First, I want your name. Mine is Mike."
"Bonita McFarland. What's it to you?" she replied.
He was dumstruck. Right before him, in one person, was both the women who had been on his mind for years--one because of her involvement and her intrigue and the other because of those legs that wouldn't give a man a break.
Without a moment's hesitation--or sober second thought--he pulled her to him. His tongue was down her throat as she started to protest. He held her and kissed her like she was the last woman on earth; to him she was just that.
The next thing he knew he was face down in the garbage with his hands jerked up behind his back. Her stilleto heels kicked his ankles apart and her knee came down in the middle of his back.. With her other hand she jerked his head up by his hair and gave him to understand that nobody was allowed to touch her like that.
When she allowed him to speak, he told her his truth--that he was undercover for the CIA and there on a job. He couldnt help himself and he had to meet her. The long story of his obsession came tumbling out as he tried to make her see that he really wasn't a bum and he wasn't trying to assault her.
She let him go and pulled him to his feet. About that time, two other agents and one casually dressed Boston cop rounded the corner. Bonita's cover was blown. Weston's cover was blown. Two operations were dismal failures. On top of that, everything Weston had said was taped on two different tags because they were both wired. He had outed himself purely for his libido.
It came as no shock when he returned to the office to find his effects neatly boxed and the copy of the burn notice taped to his chair.

The article of Burn Notice is a wonderful article on the biography of a person. The burn notice is a phrase which is being heard for the first time. It depicts the firing of a person from his job. Michael Weston shouldn’t have lost his dream job if he had working protocols of himself to the sophisticated kind and style of the profession in CIA. In organizations like CIA and being and working for CIA is a serious job than any other crime oriented job.

While this subject can be very touchy for most people, my opinion is that there has to be a middle or common ground that we all can find. I do appreciate that youve added relevant and intelligent commentary here though. Thank you!
